Sandstone Cafe

Situated in Miremare Gardens, the Sandstone Cafe is part of a hotel and function centre. I must admit it has been a long time since I've last been here, November 2023 in fact. I used to come here a lot for lunchtime meals, they were knowledgeable and happy to cater for me, the manager at the time would explain what could be done for most meals to actually make it gluten free for me and they had great gluten-free pasta and lovely risotto. What put me off from going back was when I attempted to go for breakfast. There was a new manager onsite at the time and I was informed that basically there was nothing there for me, he said nothing could be arranged from the menu and only the eggs on toast was an option or gluten free toast with a spread of my choice. I must say I wasn't in the best mood to start with, I'd been called back from a weekend away in Mittagong where I could not believe the amount of options available for Coeliacs, it was Coeliac heaven and then I came back to Sydney NB and they couldn't make one breakfast more appealing. Later the manager came over and said that the chef was happy to put some avocado with it if I wanted. Needless to say I didn't feel like paying an extra $4 for a few slivers of avocado to go with my egg. If things have changed and I am now very wrong, please do me let know, I can't know if I no longer go! I need your help to keep this information current!
